Service Department
The Township Service Department Foreman is Mr. Jerry Schall, who is assisted by Service/Road Laborer Mr. Don Rentz, and seasonal employees as needed.
The Service Department provides maintenance and repairs for all Township roads including, but not limited to, the following:
Funding for many projects initiated by the Service Department is allocated from the 3.0 mill Road and Bridge Levy. The current 5-year levy, passed in May 2022, is due to expire in 2027. Monies collected from the motor vehicle license tax, gasoline tax, and permissive motor vehicle license tax also fund the Service Department.

The Service Department provides maintenance and repairs for all Township roads including, but not limited to, the following:
- Snow plowing and road/intersection salting on township-owned roads

- Cold & hot patching of roads
- Crack sealing roads
- Purchase and maintenance of vehicles and equipment
- Roadside mowing
- Ditch cleaning
- Residential culvert replacement
- Maintenance of township facilities

- Removal of dead animals
- Road beautification and litter control
- Storm cleanup
- Maintenance of 3 township cemeteries

- Works in partnership with Summit County Engineer's Office
- Mailbox replacement due to snow incidents
